Keeping the Beat using “found objects” as instruments, take the audience on a journey of rhythm & excitement.
From a basic,single beat through to more complicated time signatures used by various cultural groups around the world.
An entertaining – educational performance addressing important concepts of sustainability and recycling (reduce, reuse, repair etc) that culminates in all clapping, stomping, yelling Rio Carnival style ‘Samba’ performance.
Keeping the Beat was listed as one of the Regional Arts Victoria “arts2Go” programs.
Keeping the Beat requires minimal staging & is very easily adapted to a broad range of performing spaces.
